Tevin Tobun, foodservice logistics, tech entrepreneur and philanthropist, has been honoured with the prestigious Freedom of the City of London in a ceremony held on Friday 17th January. This recognition celebrates his outstanding contributions to business alongside his advocacy for social mobility.

As the founder and CEO of Routd Technology and GV Group, Tobun has transformed the foodservice distribution industry, driving innovation and the use of technology through Routd, his award-winning and multi-faceted tech platform.

Receiving the Freedom of the City is one of London’s oldest and most respected traditions, dating back to the 13th century. The honour recognises Tobun’s dedication to innovation and growth within foodservice logistics but also his focus on being an advocate and leader for creating equal opportunities and inspiring future business leaders from ethnic minority backgrounds.

Commenting on the recognition, Tevin Tobun said: “Receiving the Freedom of the City of London has been a deeply humbling experience. This honour reflects not just my journey but the collective efforts of my team, business partners, and family, who have helped support and bring my vision to life at every stage of my career.

I am committed to using my platform to empower young adults and inspire the next generation of leaders to achieve their full potential.”

His recognition as a Freeman of the City underscores his role as a leader who combines entrepreneurial success with purpose-driven action. His latest venture, Routd Technology, experienced significant growth in the last 18 months, with the company expanding internationally, providing smart vending solutions for PPE in the United States for Amazon, the world’s largest online retailer.
